Now accustomed to the festival with an ever-growing community, the group U-Pia is pleased to go back to the scenes of Japan Expo Paris.
The name of the band U-Pia means “You And Personal Impact Amplifiers”, and represents the band’s desire to amplify the sense of unity between members and their fans. With a style of music mixing J-Pop and K-Pop, U-Pia transcends borders and brings people together around a common vision of positive change.
The group consists of:
Aran, the band’s producer and lead singer
Ren, one of the lead singers. He is an author, composer and is in charge of recordings.
Sen, one of the dancers of the group, with more than 8 years of experience.
Haru, the youngest member of the group, in charge of the costumes. It is versatile, being part of both the group’s dancers and rappers.
Kai, one of the two new members who joined the group in January. A great vocalist, he is also a composer and choreographer and already has 10 years of experience as an idol.
Mahiro, the second new member who joined the group in January. This “golen man” has several strings to his bow and is a talented rapper.
Taiga, the main dancer and inspired choreographer. His stage presence is impressive.
With these new members the band had a powerful rap line with Mahiro and Haru and a dance line still as strong with Taiga, Sen and Haru. The vocal line now includes experienced singers spanning more than three octaves.
The group has acquired a new energy and a more mature concept, from utopia to reality, but a reality where the fields of possibilities are infinite through the force of unity.
Their latest CD, STEREO TYPE, reached the Top 1 Oricon on the day of its release.
