Noriko Tadano has more than one string to her shamisen tsugaru. The musician returns to play her traditional instrument at Japan Expo 2025
Born in Chiba Prefecture, Noriko Tadano is an early musician, who began learning the shamisen at the age of six.
From her faithful instrument left him, she won in dynamic shows, in festivals, at the four ends of the world, as far as the WOMADelaide. She appears in international advertisements, short films and theatrical productions.
In order to promote the folk style of the Tsugaru shamisen, she collaborated with other genres of music, trying on rhythms of rock, blues or jazz. She was one of the finalists in the Australian Australia’s Got Talent program with George Uekawa. It performed twice at the Opera House in Sydney. Since 2018, she has been experimenting with theater, initiating and producing her own solo theatrical project on women’s issues.
Today, she is an Australian citizen in the city of Adelaide and is active worldwide.
