The Dai Sorano x D.C musical formation unites three instruments from three continents: shakuhachi, dry guitar and djembé.
A musical performance by a trio, Dai Sorano x D.C., from Fukushima Prefecture.
One trinity, three instruments:
- Shakuhachi (played by Jozan Tobe of the D.C. Group)
- Djembé (played by Octagonia of the D.C. NAMARIUTA)
- Dry guitar (played by Dai Sorano, like a shamisen Japanese shamisen)
The line-up performs a unique musical style, incorporating elements of Japanese folk songs and merging them with pop-rock rhythms. Sorano, in addition to playing the guitar, is a vocalist.
His high voice seeks to add sensitivity and mysticism to their music. Dai Sorano’s song utters like incantations and not only reaches a Japanese audience, but is exported around the world with ease.
